I was stationed in Grafenwohr from 58-62 with the 793rd Mp Co. I married Dora Kopp during that period. We were again stationed in Grafenwohr from 70-73 with CID. We now have long retired in Phoenix, AZ. I always thought of Grafenwohr as my second home, as I still have in-aws there and around Germany. Anyone that was stationed there during those two periods in MPs or CId text me.

I was stationed in Graf from 91-92, worked at the 127th Postal. Searching for my friend Michael A. Brown who worked with me there, but then moved on to headquarters. I am also looking for Sam Cobb if anyone has any info. Thanks

(2nd try to send this) I was so pleased to see this site; it brings back many warm memories of my time there, 1994/95 when I visited my brother, Joe Schlegel, who was the meat market manager. He passed away in 2001. Would like to know if Joe Gallager(worked in Commissary), wife Cryztal, and daughter Denise might still be in the area, hopefully may read this and get in touch. I wonder if the GI's still go to the Czech orphanage to host American BarBeQues?? I will always cherish the day I spent with the children there, and the fantastic people of Grafenwohr. You are so special - God Bless!

My great grandfather came from here to America in 1838. I'm trying to trace the family history and I was wondering if anyone in the town is there with my last name. It MAY have been spelled either Plotzer or Platzer. His first name was Wolfgang. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
