Stationed at Graf 8/64-2/66 w/249th Ord Det (HAWK) 6th Msl Bn/60th Arty. After 40+ years I have to think my old barracks and workplace are long gone. If so, it's a shame. Those buildings had a lot of history, going back to the late 1930's. Lots of memories to share and I'm looking for some central spot to post remembrances, photos, etc. Tell me, do they still sound the siren on the water tower each evening? That, and the daily retreat ceremony (ask me about the 2lb bag of flour we put into the cannon one night) are memories I will always have. Sure would like to know about the changes because it is doubtful I'll ever get back there for a trip down memory lane.

Hello everybody i just want to let you know how lucky you guys are to get stationed in Graf and vilseck. These are the best duty stations in Europe i can tell you. Nowhere else will you see so many friendly faces. I was stationed in Vilseck from 99- 2002 and i would give everything i have to get back there again. You better appreciate that duty station or you will get some like Schweinfurt or illesheim where life really suck.

I hope somebody opens a Green Goose down there for the Troopers to relax at.We were lucky in 1980s when we were in bigger city with more choices to have fun or get into trouble with.
But we did not have internet either back then.

I was stationed at Graf from 91 to 95. Loved it while I was there. Worked at the MP Station and at the old MP Company there. Lots of fond memories and hopefully I will be back some day to visit.

Our granddaughter, Pfc. Summer Bass, just arrived at the Garrison Jan. 18, 2007. We heard from her yesterday and we could hear the smile in her voice. She says the area is beautiful. We are looking forward to visiting her this fall. She is from Cleburne, Texas and her new roommate happens to be from Beaumont, Texas. How great is that?

Ms. Laubinger believes her father and older brother had the same name Anton Krauss. She has no birth related information on them.

Hallo alle, Ich suche den Andre, sein Vater war ein Taxifahrer in 1995 in Grafenwoehr. Handre hatt mich damals( da war Andre 17j glaube ich) fuer 3 wochen in El Paso, Texas besucht. Mein Ex-mann und ich waren dort stationiert in Ft. Bliss. Mein Mann hatte damals in 95' bei den MP's gearbeitet in Grafenwoehr. Wenn jemand den Andre kennt schreibt mich doch mal an. Danke ! Achja.........das alste New Yorker und das Life gibts wohl ganicht mehr????

I was in the Army and stationed in Graf in 1964 to 1966. I had a great time and memories I'll never forget. I was located in the Medical Dispensery close to the gate in to graf. The medic hangout was a place called Waldo,s I did not see it in the photo of the town, it certernly has changed. Hope to return some day.
